First Valley Of Bones Trailer Looks Bloody, Tense And Cool

If history has taught us anything (on the silver screen, at least), it's that unearthing dinosaur bones usually leads to trouble. The Jurassic Park franchise made a mint in exploiting the dangers of resurrecting ancient creatures, and now a new thriller from director Dan Glaser is milking tension out of an archeological dig turned deadly. Check out the new trailer for Valley of Bones, whose worldwide distribution rights were recently acquired by Smith Global Media.

A Dinosaur Archeological Dig Turns Deadly in Interesting Trailer For The Thriller VALLEY OF BONES

I've got a trailer here for an upcoming new thriller called Valley of Bones, which is a film I've never heard about until today. It actually looks like an interesting movie! The story revolves around a dinosaur archeological dig that takes a deadly turn, but not in the Jurassic Park kind of way.

The movie has a modern day western vibe to it, which is what lured me in. I enjoy watching those kinds of films, like No Country For Old Men and Hell or High Water. It might not be as great as those films, but I'll still watch it.

The movie is described as a "nail-biting adventure thriller set in the oil-rich Badlands of western North Dakota." It stars Autumn Reeser (The OC) as Anna, who is a single mother and paleontologist and Steven Molony as McCoy, a meth-addicted oil worker.

‘Valley Of Bones’ Latest To Land At Smith Global Media

EXCLUSIVE: Smith Global Media has acquired worldwide rights to Valley of Bones, a Western crime thriller directed by Dan Glaser and starring Autumn Reeser, Steven Molony and Rhys Coiro. The newbie distributor run by Harry Smith plans a September theatrical release.

Set in North Dakota’s oil-rich Badlands, the pic revolves around Anna (Reeser), a paleontologist and single mother, and McCoy (Molony), a meth-addicted oil worker. They form an unlikely bond as both struggle to make amends for their criminal pasts, and their hopes lay in the form of a monumental T. rex fossil, a discovery potentially worth millions. Molony, Alexandra Billings, Bill Smitrovich and Mark Margolis co-star.

STEVEN MOLONY OF "PINCHING PENNY" WINS INDIE FEST

Press release below:

Los Angeles, California, Thursday, November 17 - Steven Molony, of Clever Lever Pictures has won a prestigious Award of Merit from The Indie Fest.  The award was given for Molony’s exciting performance as the lead role of Alex in Dan Glaser’s feature film “Pinching Penny” which is the story of a British hypochondriac who turns to crime after becoming addicted to consumerism. As his obsession worsens, his life falls quickly into the absurd and he continues to spend himself deeper and deeper into depravity.  “Pinching Penny” was shot independently on a shoestring budget of $4,000 and features exceptional promise from Glaser as a director and from Molony as a rising actor.

“‘Pinching Penny’ is as refreshingly entertaining and funny as it is insightful.” - Jennifer Conley of Movie Pie.  “Steven Molony is great in the lead role of Alex ... One good role, and he could prove to be something of a breakout star in the future.” - Josh Lyons of The Couch Potato Club.  Molony comments, “I’m thrilled to receive this award.  To have my name listed among so many talented artists who have received an Indie before me is truly an honor.  I’m very grateful to all those who made this possible, and especially to Dan Glaser for casting me in this project three years back.”  Glaser writes of working with Molony, “To have worked so closely with as fine an actor as Steven Molony on our debut film was not only an enthralling experience, but also an immense honor.  He approaches his craft with such deft dedication and respect, that I have nothing but the utmost faith in his ability to bring extra life to every role.  I’d trust him completely to tackle any film head-on... and bring with that attack an intensity that’s really something to behold.”

In winning an Indie, Steven Molony joins the ranks of other high-profile winners of this internationally respected award.  Thomas Baker, Ph. D., Who chairs the Indie Fest, had this to say about the latest winners, “The Indie is not an easy award to win.  Entries are received from around the world.  The Indie helps set the standard for craft and creativity.  The judges were pleased with the exceptionally high quality of entries.  The goal of The Indie is to help winners achieve the recognition they deserve.”
